Ask about the medical professional
- Who will make the prescription decision?
- What is their full name, professional title and licence type?
- Does that licence allow them to prescribe this medicine where I will be during the visit?
- Can I ask them my own questions?
- Who handles follow-up after medicine arrives?
Ask about the product
- What is the exact ingredient name, rather than only the brand name?
- Is this exact product FDA-approved or made to order by a pharmacy (compounded)?
- If it is compounded, what is different from the approved product, and what need of mine is that difference meant to meet?
- Is any part described only as a “blend” or “research” product?
- What written information comes with it?
As of September 2026, compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. “FDA registered” does not mean FDA-approved.
Ask about the pharmacy
- What is the full legal name of the pharmacy?
- Which state is it in?
- Is it licensed to send prescriptions to my state?
- Does it make one prescription for one named patient, or is it an FDA-registered outsourcing facility that may make batches of sterile medicine?
- Who can answer a pharmacy question?
The pharmacy name is the most useful detail because it can be checked with a state board of pharmacy.
Ask about the whole price
- What is the normal medicine price after any opening offer?
- Is the membership separate?
- Are visits, tests, supplies or shipping separate?
- Does the plan renew on its own?
- What happens to unused prepaid time if care stops?
Ask about the plan when something goes wrong
- How do I reach the medical professional after the visit?
- What happens if the package arrives warm, open or damaged?
- Where are problems with the product reported?
- Who coordinates urgent in-person care?
